Zu dem Einbau von dem Flash Laufwerk...Gibts dazu auch Bilder?

Hi Schrecke,

auf den Bilder ist doch alles zu sehen.
Das ist kein normales Laufwerk, a la 2,5" oder sowas.
Ich habe die Memory Chips auf dem Mainboard gegen neue grössere Chips getauscht.

You can only change something with this tool.
I try to use other programms, but this is not possible.

The configuration is stored in the NAND Flash Chips, if you remove it, the configuration is lost!!!

Why ?
Chips used in EEE not RAM ......\This flash this chip can`t lost any part data from loader ( for example ) when I disconnect it from power.
I work whith this chips and can flash it by JTAG at other device.......
but i`m understand when this info is storaged on chip .....

I did not try it, and resolder the old 1GB Memory Chips (because to mutch work;-)
Perhaps if you resolder the Flash Chips at the same position, maybe it can work ??? perhaps, but no warrenty.

I us the Tool because i get it, the config files are not so easy, because you must set up all parameters for the
timing, the size and so on.
I need round 5 weeks, for the final setup of the Chips.

For flashing the SM223 Controller you need 3 files:
- First one i the new Firmware for the SM223, so that you can use Flashes bigger 8Gbit
- Second one is the configuration of the Flash types, Timing, Size and so on
- third one is the Flash Position, you can connect max 16 Flashes, so you must configer the Port where the Flash is connected

What do you what? Witch Memory Chips you want use, perhaps i can help you.

Also stimmt es schonmal nicht was hoschi meint. Die Infos zu den Flashes wird nicht auf den selbst gespeichert sondern im controller. (Was ich eigentlich schon vermutet habe)

Wie kommunizierst du mit dem Controller wenn du die Config änderst? Jtag? Seriell? IDE?

Da ich die SSD erfolgreich gemodded habe, solltest Du mir schon glauben was ich zu dem Controller sage. Ich habe einige Wochen mit der Programmierung
der Chips verbracht, bis alles einwandfrei funktionierte.

Was das Bios anzeigt ist der Name des Controllers und die Grössenangabe.
Alle Einstellungen zu den Memory Chips, timing usw. wird in den Memory Chips selbst gespeichert.
Die Kommunikation zum Controller läuft direkt über den PATA IDE Port. Eine Programmierschnittstelle ist nicht vorhanden.

There are rules in this NDA, that we can use this tools only for internal developments. If we give out this tool, we can get punishment.

There are rules in this NDA, that we can use this tools only for internal developments. If we give out this tool, we can get punishment.
